Arts Commission Grants and DeadlinesThe Orange County Arts Commission offers two grant cycles annually and partners on the regional artist grant program, the Emerging Artists Grant.
Spring Grants Project Period: The spring cycle of grants will fund arts activities taking place from July 1, 2007-June 30, 2008. A fall cycle will also be available for all categories except the General Arts Support, which is available annually. Supportable Projects: Applicants may request funds to support a variety of arts programs in the visual, performing, literary arts. Deadline: The Orange County Arts Commission will accept applications for all categories by 5 pm in early June, 2007 (TBA). Information Session: The Arts Commission will hold a free grant-writing workshop in mid-April, 2007 (TBA). Emerging Artists Grants purpose: to support developing professional artists by funding a project pivotal to the advancement of their careers as artists. An emerging artist is either an artist in his/her formative years who is attempting to launch a professional career, or an artist taking an established career in a new direction. preference: Criteria are:
